Project Statement
White Cubes emerged from a dialogue between sky and earth, and from an engagement with architecture as a structure through which space and meaning are shaped.
The work consists of temporary structures erected on the rooftops of houses in Yazd, where they are used to protect against insects and the summer heat. Alongside their practical function, these everyday structures become a site for reconsidering the relationship between architecture, memory, and image. The images they evoke were once part of my lived experience; now, they are subject to erasure and disappearance.
